How to share a printer on a WINDOWS network

Welcome, in this tutorial we will learn how to share a printer on a network. What we will do is connect a printer to a computer and share the printer through this computer so that users can print from the shared printer. Remember that this procedure is for printers and computers that have wifi without further ado let's start with the practice.

The first thing we will do is open the run tool, press the Windows key + r and write the word control to access the control panel and go to the device and printer settings. We write control and press the enter key or click on the accept button here in the control panel we select the option to see devices and printers we click on it and here in devices and printers we are going to look for our printer that we have connected to our computer . We must keep in mind that the printer that we are going to share must be predetermined and as we make sure of that, when it is predetermined it must have a green circle and a white checkmark, now the next step is that they already have it Once you have your default printer, the next step is to share the printer. Select the printer again with the right click and click on printer properties. 

Click on it and the following printer properties window will open. We will click on sharing button and we are going to activate select this check that says share this printer we click on it and the check that says present printing jobs on client computers we are also going to activate it we click on it and now we are going to click on apply and we also click on accept as you can see here at the bottom it appears that we already have the shared printer because we have here these two dolls that are together that means that the printer has been shared successfully.

Now the next step is to go to the other computers that we are going to share the printer with to which we are going to share the printer to configure but before going to the computer we must take into account to write down the name of this computer or the device and how we do that We go to the file explorer with the Windows + key combination and select this device with the right click and click on properties here in configuration in properties we have the name of the device we are going to write this down because we are going to use it to configure the others teams now let's configure.

We are going to open the run tool again with the Windows + r key combination. We are going to write the name of the computer that shared the printer with us. Before writing the name of the computer, we must insert two inverted diagonals and to the right the name of the computer and We are going to click on the accept button, as we can see, the 555 series network printer appears, which means that we already have the printer on our network.

So now we go to the device and printer configuration we are going to open the run tool again with the Windows + r key combination we write the word control to enter the control panel and we click on accept here in the control panel in In the hardware and sound section, we are going to click on the option to see devices and printers, click on it and here in this devices and printers window the shared printer should appear. The printer was added correctly, here we see this activated check that says set as default printer. We have this button that if we click on it it will print a test page that means that we can now print from the shared printer.
